    Jesus sees right into our heart just as he did with the paralytic (Mark 2). That man's friends got him an appointment with the Great Physician and we need one too. Yet what do we hear when we visit Jesus? Our Savior says, "Be mine...your sins are forgiven." Is there any more comforting words than that?

    It's easy to follow when you trust the leader! And Jesus was and is a leader worth following. As He began his ministry He chose ordinary people to share an extraordinary message. He calls you too. He calls you to be His disciples and says, "Come follow me and I will make you fishers for people." Will you follow?

    "This is what the Lord says— he who created you, he who formed you: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.'" (Isaiah 43:1) Any baptism is special, but it's also very personal. As we look at the baptism of Jesus, we remember our own and rejoice that we are God's dearly loved child.

    Do you pay attention to the message inscribed on those little Valentine candy hearts? While each saying is unique, they all remind us of love! In this series, God has a message for those He loves. He says to us, "Be Mine!" In three separate accounts from the gospel of Mark, God's love is on display as he says, "Be Mine!" through baptism, as his disciple and through His forgiveness.
