Nobody likes it when others tell us what to do. America is the land of the free and the home of the...I have the right to do what I want! We grumble about the government, about parents, bosses, and have idolized independence. Many couples want to rephrase the traditional wedding vow and drop the "s word". So, what do we do with "submit"? It's all over the Bible, especially in 1 Peter 3. Even Jesus himself submitted to the will of his heavenly Father! The goal of this series is to show the beauty of submission and make it our aspiration and goal as we imitate the Savior who submitted to the Father for our salvation. Submit is a Latin word that means "to place under", and we want to see the godliness of willingly placing ourselves under the will of others, to serve them in Jesus' name.
