Tears (Week 2)
February 28: Crocodile Tears Notes / Podcast
Malachi rebuked Judah for weeping for the wrong reason. They wept over the consequences of their sin instead of repenting for the sin itself. But his blunt rebuke was followed by a promise of a Savior to come, the closing words of the OT. In the same way, it’s easy for us to weep over the consequences of our laziness, selfishness, addictions, and sins. But we should weep over the real tragedy, our foolish belief that sin was better than God. That will lead us back to the true God who kept his promise by sending the Savior.
